Savings Account Plus

Start saving from just £1 - and set up a regular transfer from your linked current account to make sure you don't break the savings habit. As a Current Account Plus, Current Account Direct or Current Account Control customer, you get access to our Savings Account Plus, which pays interest on your cash. To withdraw money, transfer funds to your linked current account via *24 hour internet, telephone or mobile banking.

You may only deposit or withdraw funds via your linked current account either in branch or using Clydesdale Bank internet/telephone/mobile banking. No other deposits to or withdrawals from the Savings Account Plus are allowed. Applicants must be aged 16 or over for Current Account Plus and aged 18 or over for Current Account Direct and Current Account Control, subject to status.

*24-hour telephone/internet/mobile banking may be temporarily unavailable during periods of routine maintenance.

What you get

  • Interest calculated daily (paid on last business day of calendar quarter)
  • Transfers to and from Current Account Plus, Current Account Direct or Current Account Control to help you gain interest, via our internet, telephone and mobile banking services
  • Offset your linked current accounts and Savings Account Plus against a Clydesdale Bank Offset mortgage. You would no longer get interest on these savings and current accounts. The money you deposit into these accounts will then be offset against the amount you owe on your mortgage. As interest is only charged on the difference between the credit balances in your accounts and your debit mortgage balance, the more money you have in these linked accounts, the more interest you will save.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage
