You asked – we listened! We’ve made some exciting changes and improvements to our Internet Banking service to make managing your money online – or on the go – easier than ever.
With a modern look and feel, easier navigation and new features, the new system will roll out alongside the existing Internet Banking system.
The great news is your login details will be exactly the same so you’re ready to get started.
Here are some of the major features we’ve added or improved
Your Internet Banking service will be easier to use with a more contemporary feel, where you can customise your homepage to prioritise the accounts you use the most.
Quickly find the transaction you’re looking for by searching for a name, company or date, now available with more transaction history.
Easier payment authorisation
We’ve increased payment limits and you’ll be able to authorise all required payments using the most up-to-date version of the mobile app.
Enhanced customer support
Get help via enhanced live chat and the ability to share your screen with a member of our team so they can guide you if you get stuck.
You’ll be able to switch off paper statements and go digital on eligible accounts.
Set up and manage SMS alerts for your accounts so you're always up to date with your balance.
While you’re getting used to the handy new features, there’s a couple of things you won’t be able to do straight away.
From late summer 2018 you will have the option to move over your payees set up on a joint account to new Internet banking. Or you can re-enter on new Internet banking now and when one of you sets them up they'll be available to both of you.
If you don’t have a smart phone to download the app and need to make a high value payment you can do this using existing Internet Banking. Late Summer 2018 we will be able to discuss alternative options if you get in touch with us.
You won’t be able to make payments directly from some savings accounts in the new Internet Banking, or set up future-dated or recurring payments from your savings account. Funds can only be transferred into a linked account, where they can then be used to make payments. If you haven’t already got a current account with us, you’ll need to open one to link with your savings account. In the meantime, you’ll still be able to make external payments from your savings account using the existing Internet Banking.
Any nicknames you’ve set up will transfer, but you won’t be able to amend them or create new ones until we switch off the current version of Internet Banking.
Until summer of 2018 you won’t be able to export your data from the new Internet Banking, but you’ll still be able to access digital statements. You can use the existing Internet Banking to export your data until the switch to the new version is complete.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to see your balance or transactions in the new Internet Banking until late Summer 2018. But don’t worry – you’ll still be able to use the existing Internet Banking to access your account until then.
This function isn’t available yet, but we’re working on getting it up and running in the autumn of this year.
When you login for the first time we will ask you to read and accept our most up to date digital terms and conditions. On the first visit to our new Internet Banking service you will need to provide a valid email address so we can send you a copy of them. You won't be able to continue onto the new service without an email address that works.
