Our £5 and £10 polymer notes offer more enhanced security features, durability and cleanliness than their paper predecessors. Our £5 polymer note initially entered circulation in March 2015 as a limited edition note, it was the first polymer banknote in Great Britain. The updated £5 note launched in September 2016 and replaced it’s paper counterpart.
Our latest banknote, the £10 polymer note launches in September 2017 and our Charity partner Hospice UK have bought a number of notes which will be of interest to keen collectors. These include some of the lowest serial numbers available. The notes will be auctioned via eBay with all proceeds from the sale going to Hospice UK.
For more information about which notes will be available on eBay and when, visit HospiceUK for more information.
Please note our Glasgow Head Office branch will not be issuing any collector notes.
We took to the streets of South Queensferry to get some first impressions on the new Clydesdale Bank polymer note.
We asked some children at South Queensferry what they thought of the note.
From a Clydesdale horse to Batman - who would you put on the £5 note?
