A personal loan payment holiday is a break from your monthly loan repayments for up to three months.
Anyone named on the personal loan can apply for a payment holiday but it is not the only solution we can offer you.
Once you've applied, we'll work to identify the most suitable solution based on your situation. For example, you might need more support if you've had a permanent change to your circumstances or you're in arrears.
You'll not be charged any additional interest over the term of your loan by taking a payment holiday.
You'll need to arrange to cancel your Standing Order during the period of the payment holiday and start it again when your payment holiday ends.
If you pay by Direct Debit, it will be suspended and we won’t take any payments until the payment holiday has ended.
If your Direct Debit is due within the next five days, unfortunately we can’t stop that payment, you’ll need to get in touch with your bank to cancel it. If you’re charged a return payment fee, we’ll refund this.
At the end of the payment holiday, your contractual repayments will resume, and the term of your loan will be extended to cover the duration of your payment holiday.
We'll make sure the payment holiday doesn’t have a negative impact on your credit file.
If you ask for a payment holiday, we'll review your request. If we can give you a payment holiday, we'll get in touch to confirm when it has started. If we can't offer you a payment holiday then we'll get in touch with you to discuss alternative options.
You must continue to make your monthly loan repayments until we confirm that your payment holiday has started.
