A charity ceilidh organised by Clydesdale Bank has raised an amazing £9000 for the Radio Tay listeners' charity Caring for Kids.
Caring for Kids helps over 21,000 children in the Tayside area every year and has helped over quarter of a million kids since its inception in 1981.
The ceilidh was held at Invercarse Hotel in Dundee where guests battled it out to win prizes donated by generous local businesses. The money raised will be presented to the charity on Tuesday, 31st of July at the Radio Tay headquarters.
Caring for Kids co-ordinator Alastair Brookes said: "We are delighted with the response from the 187 people who attended the event and gave so generously in the auctions and raffles. We are also grateful to Clydesdale Bank for organising the evening.
"It was a great success and this money, which will be spent in Tay territory, will bring a lot of help and pleasure to those who most need it."
Jackie Campbell, a private partner at Clydesdale's Financial Solutions Centre in Dundee added: "As a prominent business in the area, we are committed to playing a significant role in helping our local communities. We and our customers are proud to support such a fantastic charity which makes a real difference to the lives of so many children and families in Tayside."
