Brimmond Group, a Dyce-based oilfield equipment manufacturing company, has completed a multi-million pound acquisition of Rigrun Europe, a local service and supply company specialising in pressure control and motion compensation equipment, with the backing of Clydesdale Bank.
Rigrun Europe’s commitment to high quality design and craftsmanship has ensured their products are in demand across the world, helping them to build an impressive client base. The company services this global client base from their new purpose built facility in Kintore Business Park, which is supported by an international sales and service division of highly experienced distributors and representatives. Rigrun Europe currently employs 12 members of staff, all of whom will be retained with the Brimmond Group’s acquisition.
Commenting today, Alistair Murdoch, Managing Director of Brimmond Group, stated: “With the help of Clydesdale Bank we have been able to make our first acquisition with Rigrun Europe, a highly successful operation that we hope to help develop and expand beyond its current client base and growth plans. The Brimmond Group is a major manufacturer of diesel, electric and air driven equipment for industry as well as producing a comprehensive range of hydraulic components and being an emergency service provider for mechanical and hydraulic repairs. Roland Holmes, founder of Rigrun Europe will continue to work with the Brimmond Group in a consultancy role to ensure the future growth of the business meets the growing needs of its existing client base.
The Brimmond Group was established 13 years ago and currently employs 15 members of staff.
