Heritage House Group, the UK’s leading supplier of guide books and souvenirs to the heritage market, has undergone a refinancing to allow it to complete its second acquisition.
It has acquired the assets and business of Jarrold Publishing with backing from Clydesdale Bank and venture capitalists Foresight Group, IBIS Capital and Calculus Capital.
Jarrold Publishing produces guides to more than 250 of the UK's foremost visitor attractions, including Sandringham, Blenheim Palace and St Paul's Cathedral, in addition to more recently established attractions such as Bristol Zoo and Blair Drummond Safari Park. Heritage, which is based in Norwich, acquired the business from Pitkin Publishing, a subsidiary of NPI Media.
Alison Taylor of Clydesdale Bank said: We were delighted to support this deal which has consolidated Heritage House Group’s position as market leader in the UK contract publishing industry for the Heritage sector.
