The annual charity golf competition at Belleisle Golf Club, organised by Clydesdale Bank’s Ayrshire Financial Solutions Centre and the Ayrshire Business Circle, has raised more than £10,000 for Ayrshire Hospice and the hospice charity, Help the Hospices.
Eighteen teams from across the county entered the golf day, raising a total of over £10,000 for the Ayrshire Hospice and Help the Hospices, including a donation by Clydesdale Bank.
The team from ARP Lorimer & Associates, the Ayr based architects and surveyors, were the winners on the day, with the Bank taking second spot.
Following the day’s play Clydesdale Bank also organised a charity auction, with prizes including a four ball round of golf at either, Royal Troon, Prestwick, Kilmarnock (Barassie) or Moyvalley Golf Club and Resort, Dublin, as well as hospitality packages at Kilmarnock Football Club and Ayr Race Course.
Willie Mackie, the Managing Partner at the Ayrshire Financial Solutions Centre said: “This is the second year we have organised the golf day and we are delighted with how successful it has been. Everybody involved has had a terrific day and it has all been for such a worthy cause.
“Thanks to the generosity of local businesses who took part on the day and those who supplied great prizes for the auction and prize draw, we raised around £10,000 which is tremendous.”
Help the Hospices is the official charity partner of Clydesdale Bank and is the leading charity supporting hospice care throughout the UK.
