Clydesdale Bank has appointed a new Managing Partner at its Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) in the Highlands and Islands.
Hamish Boag joined Clydesdale Bank in 1976 and spent his formative years working in the Highlands and Islands region before moving to Ayr and subsequently Glasgow, where he was latterly a Senior Credit Executive.
Now in his 33rd year working for the bank, Hamish’s new post will see him lead a team of 46 partners and associates at the bank’s regional head office in Inverness and its satellite offices across Argyll, the Hebrides, Moray, Caithness, Shetland and Orkney.
“Clydesdale’s consistent approach to traditional banking is what companies are looking for today. Ninety-five per cent of decisions can be taken here in Inverness and along with my team, I look forward to helping local businesses realise their growth potential,” said Hamish.
“Our team works with a broad range of customers across the Highlands and Islands and we fully understand how the current economic climate is affecting the local business community. Getting to know our customers and their businesses helps us to understand how we can help them through the challenging conditions we find ourselves in.
“We very much concentrate on developing local businesses and every pound deposited here is invested in the region, which means the FSC has built very close links with local companies in every sector and with the professional networks” concluded Hamish
