Donate to Queensland Flood Relief Appeal Through Clydesdale & Yorkshire Banks

Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks has opened a dedicated account to help victims of the floods in Australia.

Donations to the Queensland Government Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal can now be made through all branches of the Bank, which is part of National Australia Bank Group.

Irene Swankie, Community Affairs Manager at Clydesdale Bank said, "Many employees and customers in the UK have friends and families affected by the floods and as such are keen to do as much as they can to show their support. We want to provide as much support and assistance as we can."

The Queensland Government Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal has been established to fund much of the relief activity on the ground in Queensland. In addition to donating $AUS 350,000 to the Appeal, and $AUS 650,000 to relief projects in local communities, National Australia Bank will also provide $AUS 1million to micro-finance programmes in flood impacted regions. National Australia Bank employees have contributed a further $AUS 100,000 to the Appeal and this will be matched by the Group. National Australia Group has set-up a range of activities on the ground including dedicated phone lines for donations, extended branch opening hours to provide support for impacted customers and mobilising ATMs in impacted areas.

Cash donations to the Appeal can be made by both customers and the public through any branch of Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks.
