14/09/2011

A new business development partner has been appointed to Yorkshire Bank’s Bradford-based West Yorkshire Financial Solutions Centre (FSC).

He is Gary Bennett, 35, who joins the five-strong Business Development Team supporting businesses with a £2m to £50m turnover across Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees as part of Yorkshire Bank’s Investing for Growth initiative.

Gary Bennett, who lives in Barnsley, joins from NatWest/RBS Commercial Bank. He first went into banking in 1997 and has held various roles including service delivery manager and regional deposits consultant.

He says: “It is great to join Yorkshire Bank which has funds to support business growth and has remained committed to supporting industry since the onset of the credit crunch. My role is to help get money out to enterprises which can grow and boost their local economies.”

Yorkshire Bank’s West Yorkshire FSC comprises 45 staff in multi-discipline teams encompassing corporate banking, private wealth management, treasury services and credit and operates a traditional method of banking with funding from deposits used to support investments in the local community.
