An innovative Coventry contract services company which works in the private and public sector is set for further expansion thanks to backing from Yorkshire Bank.
Zenith Contract Services Group, which is headquartered in Foleshill, includes an office refurbishment service, a specialist resin floor service, commercial and industrial contract cleaning, one of the leading painting and decorating contractors in the Midlands and an e-commerce division.
With the support of Yorkshire Bank’s Coventry Financial Solutions Centre (FSC), the company has increased its workforce by over 15 per cent this year, introduced a fleet of newly branded vehicles featuring its new-look logo and launched a new website.
Adrian Irwin, Chairman at Zenith Contract Services, said in order to meet the increasing demand for its six divisions, plans are now underway to look for new premises in Coventry.
“Yorkshire Bank has supported the company’s growth by providing working capital facilities throughout the Group,” he said.
“In 2002 this was a small family business which concentrated on cleaning contracts and painting and decorating. Zenith has grown six-fold since then to be a multi-million pound business, with clients across the UK.
“A consequence of our success is that we have run out of space and we hope to move to larger premises this year.”
Managing Director Martyn Hancox said Zenith has developed a number of integrated companies in various specialist fields that has enabled it to quickly adapt to its customers’ requirements.
“2012 has seen the launch of our own e-commerce business ZenRite, which sells flooring products on-line. Even though we have nearly 30 years’ experience installing industrial flooring systems, we are always looking for new and innovative ideas. We see ZenRite as a great opportunity to expand our business in this sector, as there is an increased demand for environmental cleaning and we see this as a real growth area.
“We have also won new contracts with local Housing Associations to provide bespoke deep cleaning services to their void properties, which requires dedicated cleaning teams to quickly turnaround these properties so they can be made available for rent.
“We are very pleased with how the different strands of the business are developing and Yorkshire Bank’s support over the last six years has been key. They have bought into our business plans and have provided the facilities we required.”
Martin Boag, Business Partner at Yorkshire Bank’s Coventry FSC at the Ricoh Arena, said diversifying Zenith and widening the geographical areas they cover has been vital in the company moving forward.
“Yorkshire Bank remains committed to helping viable trading businesses and Zenith is a great example,” he said.
“The management team has always approached us in the early stages of their development plans which makes it easier for the Bank to provide the necessary advice and support.
“It remains a tough market but Zenith has retained a high quality of service, and has shown flexibility to meet both their clients’ requirements and changes in the industry.”
