A Central Scotland firm that specialises in insurance reinstatements is winning new business and creating jobs with support from Clydesdale Bank.
Edinmore Contracts Ltd has received a substantial funding package from Clydesdale Bank’s Business and Private Banking Centre in Falkirk, enabling the firm to undertake a greater number of contracts.
The business, which is based in Grangemouth and directly employs 97 staff, is also seeking to open an additional office in order to increase its geographical reach. Edinmore, a new customer to Clydesdale Bank, expects to initially create up to 30 new jobs at the new branch.
Founded in 2005, Edinmore acts as a one-stop shop to the insurance and loss-adjusting industry by providing a range of reinstatement services, from surveying damaged buildings to repairing them. To help ensure repairs are carried out as quickly and efficiently as possible, it also employs its own dedicated claims management team.
Among Edinmore’s customers are some of the UK’s leading insurers and loss adjusters, including Zurich, Aviva, DLG and Cunningham Lyndsey. It is contracted to repair both commercial and domestic properties.
The firm, which was recently named Best Large Business in the 2013 Falkirk Herald Business Awards, is committed to maintaining the highest possible quality and safety standards. As a result, it has been approved by a number of leading industry schemes, including Constructionline, Trust Mark and CHAS (Construction Health and Safety Assessment Scheme).
Early next year Edinmore is also due to receive ISO 14001 certification, an internationally recognised accreditation awarded to organisations that have effective management systems for protecting the environment. It will be one of the first insurance contractors in the UK to achieve such recognition.
At present, Edinmore’s turnover exceeds £6m, but the firm aims to increase its income with support from Clydesdale Bank.
Clarke Faichnie, managing director of Edinmore Contracts, said: “When seeking a new funding partner, Clydesdale Bank’s track record in growing businesses stood out amongst its competitors. Since becoming a customer of the Bank, we’ve also been seriously impressed with its proactive approach.
“We look forward to working in partnership with Clydesdale Bank’s knowledgeable team to achieve our growth aspirations and deliver further success for Edinmore.”
Terry Quinn, business development manager at Clydesdale Bank’s Business and Private Banking Centre in Falkirk, said: “The success of Edinmore Contracts Ltd is a testament to the experience, drive and expertise of Clarke Faichnie and the management team, and represents all that is good about the entrepreneurial spirit of Scottish businesses.
“As we begin to see signs of economic recovery, Clydesdale Bank remains focused on investing in the growth ambitions of the Scottish business community.”
