The award-winning Early Days Nursery in Edinburgh has announced the launch of a first of its kind app after receiving a six-figure funding package from Clydesdale Bank.
The app, which launched in March, helps parents to track their children’s progress during a crucial stage of learning and development. Parents can use the app to get progress updates on learning, food menus, and more. They can also use the app to make payments to the nursery, saving time for busy parents and nursery staff.
The finance package provided will also be used to develop leading digital and IT services, high-quality sensory rooms, and the installation of French doors so children have direct access to garden areas where they can play and grow vegetables.
Maureen Crandles, who founded Early Days Nursery in 1999, said: “This funding will help Early Days to continue providing excellent levels of service, while taking a step into the future and anticipating parents’ needs. We are excited to build on the success of Early Days as we enter this new phase of growth.”
George Corstorphine, Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking, Clydesdale Bank, said: “Early Days is a long-standing customer of ours and we’re proud to work with such a professional and successful business in a competitive industry. We’re focused on supporting the growth of local and regional economies and, we wish the team the very best as they undertake this exciting next step in their development.”
