At Clydesdale Bank we take the security of your account as seriously as you do. That’s why we require additional authorisation on certain transactions to add another layer of protection.
You can now authorise payments with the Clydesdale Bank app. Search "Clydesdale Bank" on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Just set up the app then you can begin moving your money without the need for a security token.
Alternatively if you are unable to use the app, have poor network coverage or don’t have a smartphone, you can get in touch with us to discuss other options for authorising your transactions.
From listening to your feedback about security tokens we’ve now integrated the authorisation into the mobile app. This means you can continue to make higher value payments whenever and wherever you need to with the same level of security.
If you are unable to use our mobile app and frequently make payments over £500 then we recommend you get in touch with us to talk to us about alternative security options.

To log into Internet Banking you now need to use Virgin Money Internet Banking. You'll get the same great service and are able to access all your accounts.
Your log in details will stay the same and you can log in directly from the shiny new Virgin Money website.

Go to the Virgin Money websiteNever tell anyone a token 3 response code, even someone from the bank. You should only input these codes to our secure Business Internet Banking service when you’re sending and making payments. If anyone calls and asks for a token 3 response code or asks you to authorise a payment on the App for fraud checks, hang up and call us on 0800 085 2914 from another line if possible, remember the Bank will never ask you to disclose your security details.
