Practical guidance and how to make a claim

Make a claim

[1] Based on all Clydesdale Bank Home Insurance policies renewed between October 2018 and October 2020.

[2] To qualify, your new Clydesdale Bank policy must be in the same name as the policy being cancelled. The type of cover (such as combined buildings and contents) also has to be the same. You need to submit the refund form within 90 days of receiving your cancellations charges, with evidence. See full terms and conditions.

[3] No claims discount varies by number of years claim free. Maximum discount is 25% for 4 years no claims. If you qualify for the 10% new customer and no claims discount, the new customer discount will be applied to the original quote first and the no claims discount then applied to the discounted total.

To add or not to add?

Did you know, claims for accidental damage are the most common – but only 56% of Clydesdale Bank Home Insurance customers add accidental damage cover to their policy*.

It can be tricky to know what is and isn’t covered under your core cover, and what cover needs added to your policy. That’s why we created our Interactive House tool – it’ll help you understand what extra cover you might need to protect the things that matter.

Use our Interactive House tool

* Where accidental damage cover can be added to a policy, it is added by 56.4% of Clydesdale Bank Home Insurance customers (Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance data, October 2019 to September 2020).

Now, add your extras

Once you’ve chosen your core cover, you can add extra cover for complete peace of mind. Limits apply.
