As a new Clydesdale Bank Home Insurance customer, we’ll cover any cancellation cost from your previous insurer – as long as your new policy doesn’t start later than 31 March 2020 and isn’t cancelled within the first 14 days.

To qualify for the refund, your new policy must be in the same name as the policy being cancelled. And the type of cover - such as combined building & contents – also has to be the same. The switcher claims form (PDF, link opens in a new window) must be submitted no later than 90 days after the cancellation charge from your previous policy with the accompanying evidence.

Choose your core cover

Buildings cover

Cover your home itself and other permanent structures on your land – garages and outbuildings, drives, walls, fences and gates. You’ll be covered against damage by fire, flood, subsidence, and other similar causes.

Get covered for up to £400,000 as standard, up to £40,000 for alternative accommodation, and up to £750 for locks and keys.

Contents cover

Cover your home contents against loss or damage by fire, flood, storm, theft, escape of water, and other similar causes.

Get covered for up to £50,000 as standard, up to £10,000 for alternative accommodation, and up to £7,500 for high risk items (up to a total of £1,500 for any one item).

Building and Contents cover

Combine buildings and contents for maximum protection – covering your home and your belongings under one policy.
