Is a Credit Card payment holiday the right thing for me?
If you're worried about not being able to make your minimum payments in the short term, then you can use this form to apply for a payment holiday for three months.

The quickest and easiest way for you to apply for a payment holiday is to use the form provided. You must be the primary cardholder to complete this form. If you’re not, you should ask the primary cardholder to complete it.
If you have more than one Clydesdale Bank, Yorkshire Bank or B credit card, you'll need to complete a form for each card. If you're a Virgin Money credit card customer then you must use the form here instead.
Once we've received your form we'll aim to get back to you in the next 7 days to confirm if your application has been successful and when your payment holiday will begin if it's approved. You must continue to make at least the minimum payment on your statement until we confirm that your payment holiday has started.
A credit card payment holiday is a break from having to pay your minimum payment for three months.
Any primary cardholder can apply for a payment holiday but it is not the only solution we can offer you. Once you've applied, we will work to identify the most suitable solution based on your situation. For example, you might need more support if you've had a permanent change to your circumstances or you're in arrears.
It's important to remember that you’ll still be charged interest like normal during your payment holiday.
Any promotional rates will continue to apply and they’ll still last for the same amount of time.
Yes, you can continue to use your credit card during your payment holiday.
You'll need to arrange to cancel your Standing Order during the period of the payment holiday and start it again when your payment holiday ends.
If you pay by Direct Debit, we’ll stop your Direct Debit during your payment holiday and then start it again using the same details when your payment holiday ends.
If we can't stop your Direct Debit, we may ask you to speak with your bank to cancel it.
At the end of the payment holiday, your account will go back to your normal minimum payments. Your minimum payment may increase because it'll include any interest charged during your payment holiday as well as any new spending that has taken place during this period.
We'll make sure that the payment holiday doesn’t have a negative impact on your credit file.
If you ask for a payment holiday, we’ll review your request. If we can give you a payment holiday, we’ll get in touch to confirm when it has started. If we can’t offer you a payment holiday then we'll get in touch with you to discuss alternative options.
